I have always repected and enjoyed your humour and your posts.
I hope to write a tribute to Eddie Smith if time permits. In the next few days. "Sir Eddie" is your HC post and I believe he deserves it in real life.
What some posters still do not realise is the extent of the continued flooding flowing down the Cooper and into the Basin. La Nino and the southern oscilation are in part the cause. Impress is a steal on her assetts but no hope of any return on the $75 mill outlay from Beach for a year or even 3 years. Sir Eddie did not sell any share holder out. He called the market and got the best offer available. A year earlier would have seen a better offer but then the company was in a profitable situation with so much upside. The Rain Gods disposed of all that..Vicpet will IMHO have further dilution of share holders with continued rights issues in 2011. They have made no statements to ASX yet of the extent of the Cooper Basin Flooding but it will come. Other share holder's in VPE top 20 would not have wanted further dilution of there holdings with a say 3 for 1 script offer for a company which has no income for the immediate foreseeable future. Thats my call and I have yet to see any chairman or director of any company in the asx act in the manner that Sir Eddie has done with such care and consideration to the smaller shareholders of his company.. There is much that many who have never spoken at length with Sir Eddie Smith do not know. He is highly respected by people who know him in the industry. My last post on ITC will be when game is over and I will try and write a little about the man. ..Thanks to all other posters on Impress..I have learned much and posters on this stock have been the best reason to participate on H/C. ...247
