thanks Kittyboomboom. the keys to the ivory tower were never given to me, so chatting to either Gerry or Kate was a rare thing, and normally orchestrated by them if they were unappy with something. no discussion, no collaboration of ideas or anyform of input was really welcomed if it didn't fit their plans. I was never smart enough to play a political game as I was only ever interested in my bottom line, thought that was the whole point of being a franchisee. but now I know as others have said here that we were just glorified managers, who wore risk and got little reward. anyway, enough about them. I hope you are right about the Euro, but I saw on the business program on ABC today a thoght that will see it fail as it only binds the monetary, and not the fiscal policies of member states, the question is when will Germany tire of its neighbours. and although the US housing market is going to double dip for sure, I agree, maybe anouther 7-12% lower than current rates would be a good price to buy if you were cashed up and wanted property there. as for a comparisson to us and Greece, well there is massive personal debt here, but not so much governmental debt against GDP. and as we have years of selling pretty m uch anything we can dig up, I think we are insulated as a country from the worst of the worries. only bloton the sunny horizon her, and it could hit hard is the level of personal debt and a more than likely crashing housing market. That will affect those stupid enough not to minimise what they owe.
