Retailers are a bit like all of us. When things are bad they cry wolf but keep quiet when times are good.
I think there is a case for retailers to pass on more of the AU$ savings they are enjoying but until competition improves, they will hog the margin benefit.
"How about we save Australia by stopping Harvey and all his little cohorts giving "interest Free "loan to everyman and his dog. This credit for all ,only allows Harvey and company to charge double what they should be!"
Agree with this. I have never bought anything from Harveys because prices are exorbitant. "Interest-free" terms exact a very high interest rate from the buyer. Buyers usually cash-poor but credit-rich.
PS- Our factory outlets here are a "joke". Nothing "cheap" there.
