I have seen the Little Takas range at Supa IGA. Good positioning, great design, 90% biogradable clearly advertised. Excellent.
Price difference is from 13c to 21c per nappy compared with a major brand. Reasonable? Middle class product? What about those who can't afford to be so environmently conscious?
With regards to premium, i noticed this on pg 6 of Annual Report: "...a strong emphasis on reducing the cost of goods to make the product more competitive and provide a great return to shareholders."
Good, good.
Marketing:
pg 4 Annual Report: "After a review of the global nappy market, we committed to a product launch in Australia, and plan to use the launch as a template for one by one international launches in the years ahaed. It is a modern launch strategy, which does not use expensive advertising campaigns, but rather engages the media, both traditional and web, and aims to establish direct relationships with our customers using the internet as the main communication tool."
Not quite sure what 'modern launch strategy' means exactly. Like to have more details.
