"Just my view, the new guys are all CSG players, are they really interested in the small oil fields in the Western Fairway (lots of managment time and staff resouces to manage) vs the huge potentail value of CSG that they see.

I think any reasonbale offer for VPE oil assets would be taken up and the funds used to promote and prove up the CSG.

If you follow your logic (which I think has merit) then the new board are here to break up VPE and sell off to the highest bidder.

BG want all the gas they can get and willing to pay for it so that is a natural path of disposal. Sell off the oil assetts to a neigbour with the pipe line infrastructure, another natural path. The Board then move on to the next company.....
