Even though with these stocks we bank on receiving dividends they don't really compensate for a falling share price, what we are all looking for is the double whammy as at 1.35 there is the dividend anyway but only if bought around current SP and if this is somewhere near the price floor
You have highlighted some very relevant points and yes their A$80mil CAPEX for LBC will go further now
Challenger having over 40% would be relying on the dividend to continue this income stream, so an alternative they must have or have been considering is to grow the business, especially LBC, and sell off
This would deliver a handsome profit for Challenger and also for shareholders
