The savage sell down in early Aug looked like insiders, mirrored by the savage sell down post Ex-div date this month and the mini savage sell down of last week. Some posters were recently asking why the big sell down post divi, well here is your answer.

A bit of a sucker punch I must say by the Board. They unexpectantly issue a divi while post-poning Strategic review another 2 months. This sees spike up in share price that is savagely sold into by insiders over the next 4 weeks before the Capital Raising is suddenly announced on time (ie Sep as originally promised) despite being pushed back to Nov! Isn't there a saying in the market that money is transfered from those without knowledge to those in the know? Something like that I'm sure.

To be fair the heavy selling down last week must have made their position untenable and were forced to come clean and annouce the review outcome. Where to from here? Well a 30% cut in divi's is not what utility investors are chasing so I expect that $1 will hold but probably only just. Value is still their for "patient" investors as they said but I wonder if patience is an anathama to todays investors. Certainly my ADHD doesn't help lol.
