I agree, and given that management don't display evidence of having much of a holding in AEJ, then their reputations are on the line. Make a fist of this one and they will be highly regarded in whatever job they take on in the future, whereas an easy cop out will see them as losers, hardly employable with another outfit.
Also, an inference that TPG are the be-all with this show is flawed, rather, management have a number of options and still have quite a bit of time on their hands. If they walk away with a good outcome for the company's owners(shareholders) then it will act as personal credential.
Bearing in mind, it was management who were smart enough to consider the present course of action, and that action was in train before TPG entered the scene.
