Come to think of it, after the flurry of announcements in August, CBD has gone a bit quiet.
I was hoping to hear something on the manufacture of inverters, from memory, when first announcement was made, they anticipated August for production to start, then when announcing 2010 results, the indication was soon. Unless they hit some hurdles, they ought to be assembling some units as we speak. I understand that they decided to source some parts from China, but the inverters were going to be made under license, so the first run bits would come in a container from Germany IMO. Company where I did my apprenticeship all these years ago has similar sort of deal. Mother company could not satisfy the demand and we had some spare capacity so they kept making the product in their factory and also shipped all the components, bits and pieces to us. We would carry out the assembly and testing and final product carried our name and notification "under license". The quickest way to get manufacture of the ground, IMO.

The approval for the wind farm near Tumut in Snowies is taking forever. Something we learned to expect from our all talk and no action NSW government. They could not organize a naughty in a brothel, I reckon.

So let just dream about a clean green future until we get some news or numbers to chew on.
