Selenium traded at it's highest level since July 2007 at about $39.38/lb, from around $38.75 in August.
"The selenium market is getting more active" said a third trader. "Inquiries are coming in -- increasing numbers from China and India, and we are expecting firm prices with a tendency to go up within the next few weeks"
