It might be the Victorian government building a stake, they could buy the road now for half what it would have cost them to build, talk about shoring up the vote in the eastern and south eastern suburbs, it would make great political and financial sense. (maybe I should have been a polly)

I also agree that it seems to be being used more, but I dont agree that it is cheap enough, I have noticed lately that there is quite a bit of maintainence/roadworks during the day some of which is holding up traffic (I have had a 20min+ delay), In that case it would have been much quicker to use another road, and also a vicroads blitz on trucks just the other side of the tunnel (heading north) on the CE road, this does concern me as a driver and shareholder, it could turn some users off using the road, and we are only just marginally CFP so we need all the drivers we can get.


I dont really think it would be the Vic govt buying, pollys arnt known for commonsense.
