I agree CRK is difficult to fathom atm. I too have had my failures with gold stocks. The general trend of the ASX attests to the fact that this disappointment applies to other sectors also. We have the advantage of an appreciating commodity in gold which translates to an expectation of an appreciating share price. History and experience tells us that value is always realised but not always when we demand it. Gold co's across the board are cheap and will catch up. One can rely on greed and fear to see to that. I have done well from gold stocks. I do have some illiquid holdings which are under water even as their fundamentals improve. In time some of them will be my best performers.
CRK has a JORCE resource and if this method of measurement has any integrity then it deserves our respect. Its all we have. Banks and sophisticated investors on the register. They would have taken expert advice. JBM has added to its holding at every capital raising. They would have done due diligence as I expect we all have.
I admit to doubt at times like this, we are herd animals. However think of the conversation we might be having if JPM was not selling. The SP would probably be $1.40 + and bloggers would be proudly reporting that they had managed to buy another parcel on a down dip at $1.18. So what has changed - JPM is selling. The extended time frame for the feasibility study is not unique nor fatal nor would be such an issue if not combined with the sell down. So do JPM know something that we don't - I doubt it.
The scoping study results might be ok, good or very good. It wont be bad. We have all read the drilling reports, have enough experience to have an educated guess and we have some analysts and industry professionals on record to point to a viable ore body. If its just ok, how much does that value the co? And with that consider its total resource, prospective tenements and and an appreciating gold price. To disgruntled stock holders - be patient, you will be rewarded especially those with an average of under $1. The management want its value realised even more than we do. We are all on the same side.
I would like to hear others opinions on the possible results of the scoping study.
