yeah i was at the fgmae and the umpiring was a disgrace, as was the oval.
However i like the mud and sludge, just dont like the rules of the new game.
first man in should always be protected and should never be done holding the ball, its up to the other team to go get it, unless he is clearly laying on the ball and noone on top of him , othersie he has no hope in gettinmg it out.
To say yeah byut dont jump on it in the foirst place, footballers are boirn to go at the balll. ...although thats chnaging, now half of them stand off and watch each opther.
No point going for it, you just get pinned.
And chopping arms rule is the most gay rule ive ever seen,along with touching a back, running between a player stanbding the amrk and the player with the ball, deliberate out of bounds, ruckmen not allowed to jusmp into each other with some silly new circle, not being able to rush a behind......and i could go on.
The game is shot.
Not sure what they should do, but having a west syd and gold coast team wont help.
Already enough low grade footballers playing.

I think someone needs to start a super league to rival the AFL
just the old rules, big marks, fierce contests, all ins, muddy ovals, confetti like stuff all over the ground, streamers, lots of sexy cheerleaders, smoking and drinking allowed, streakers, put up ya umbrella when u want, kicks on the oval at half time, free pie for every entry, pay the players the same amount each....say $100k each year.
Bring it on.
And Port be called the Port magpies and not some made up crap like the power.
