nsw government solar scheme

I'm wondering why no one on here mentioned about the NSW solar Scheme which just started in Jan 2010.

Under this scheme, households (subject to certain critiria ofcourse) who install Solar panels will be eligible to sell back their access power to the grid and an ave house could make $1500 a year in credits.

The scheme lasts for 7 years, so if solar costs about $12,000 to install, fed govt rebate might be $7000 (the govt website says up to $8000), and you get $1500 a year, then break even is about 3 years, not even counting your own power which is free carried.

I'm not an expert here, but it seems like a no brainer to install solar then.

Here is the link to NSW govt:

The Government's goal for the Solar Bonus Scheme is to accelerate the deployment of at least 50 megawatts of capacity in distributed micro-renewable energy generation in New South Wales. This would more than triple the existing capacity of small-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in NSW.

The Auditor-General will also review the Solar Bonus Scheme and report to Parliament in 2011.

This is only my interpretation ofcourse, so DYOR.
