    "CNP for higher capital gain + divies "later"
    CER for divies and lower capital gain"

    as an investor, the primary consideration should be capital GROWTH either through capital gain (holding for a year & thereby reducing the CGT liability) or capital gain plus divies as stated.

    If the annual return on your investment is greater through capital gain alone, why wouldn't you opt for a holding in CNP in preference to CER & MDT? (assuming of course that CNP continues to deliver superior capital gains)

    Ideally, we would all like to sit back & relax with our dividend payments,....sigh, if only life were that simple....
