Looking past the indecent merger proposition, this news could turn OIP into an explorer of signficant size. If the prospects for the lease are as good as we all think AND these interests are bought out OIP should have a war chest to pursue it's other assets (and perhaps even purchase more).
It just hurts that the upside here is now really to the benefit of GGX holders whereas I'm assuming most shareholders bought in (like myself) expected the benefit to go to OIP alone. They get the upside; we get their downside risk.
