What I am curious about is who initiated the change in interests and what was the driving factor.
Did Aminex approach East African Exploration or vice versa? The other factor is the respective values of the assets traded in the deal. Was the value of 10% of Nyuni determined based on good prospects with the seismic recently completed?
Unfortunately questions that will never be answered but are critical to understanding, in advance, whether this signifies good news.
On the bright side, for the next week or two the major focus will be the UK acquisition. Also, given the low share price I am presuming that the market is valuing KN#1 at a low level until the actual reserves are known. So a below average reserve figure may not have much of an impact on KEY's share price.
