My belief is that maoming is not looking for immediate rentability of the SP. In the current situation, it would be irrealistic and Mr Moulin doesn't sound like an irrealistic man.

Let's do some partly creative replay.

EGL-Maoming link is a long quasi-family story with Maoming being the godfather at EGL's christening and the go between for the wedding with CNP (Gazonor and Belgium). Maoming has kept shares from the early days and is somewhat irritated to see how the things are managed:
The operational side totaly stuck for more than one year, the prominent shareholders fleeing, the personel quiting and the Gazonor plant lost into the mists of undecision (despite 10 millions euros funding)...

The shares being low and no big shareholder being present gives the appropriate situation. Maoming takes control for a very reasonnable price, nominates directors and takes a seat at the board where he is very active in pushing the things right and some people out.

I do not believe that at short or medium term Maoming will try to push the share price or take a much higher share of the capital as long as it keeps the control. It will restart the business and re-install confidence of the shareholders, the prices will follow.

So, buy now could be a good policy but benefits will come later (3-5 years from now)
