    Prof Frazer, are you 2006 Australian of the year and co-inventor of the Gardasil vaccine?!? Welcome to HC and I look forward to reading more of your posts! I am a GP. I think there is a huge scope for ovarian cancer screening especially if it gets public health funding, it's such a fearsome killer and I regularly get female patients wanting to be screened.

    But our current test Ca125 and invasive transvaginal U/S has poor positive predictive value, and not many women are keen on yearly transvaginal u/s. I wonder what the cost comparison is, ultrasounds aren't cheap. Once the potential for OvPlex and it's successor becomes widely known for saving lives, and in all likelihood saving money too, what is your opinion on the likelihood of Government funding for this to be used as a population wide screening test?
