The meeting will be held on Tuesday 14 April 2009 at 10.00am in Brisbane at Brisbane Convention Centre, Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Bank.
Possible resolutions are ..... "That the BrisConnections Holding Trust and the BrisConnections Investment Trust commence to be wound up on the next business day following the date this resolution is passed."
some new capital restructure as proposed by Bribane Toll Road Link
In order to get a resolution through it has to get 75% of the vote
the contenders are........
Nicholas Bolt - wants to wind the company He has 12.21% or 47,643,166
Brisbane Toll Road Link Pty Ltd - wants some sort of new capital restructure. They have 5.18 per cent of the stock and are hoping for 19.9%
Queensland Investment Corporation (trevor Rowe)wants this project to go ahead for queensland.It holds 10 per cent of the stock
Capital Group is supposed to support QIC It has 7% of the stock
Macquarie says on the surface that they want to keep the company going but they probably want to wind it up (if it will get them out of the underwriting contract). It has 8.2%
my view......
I don't think the resolution to wind up the company will get through
why?
QIC (10%) Capital Group (7%) Brisbane Toll Road Link (5.8%)
and perhaps Macquarie (8.2%)
Total = 31%
