KUALA LUMPUR, October 2008 - Nexbis Sdn. Bhd is pleased to announce that the Nexbis
National Security solution known as NexCode has been named “Best of Security” in the MSC
Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC Malaysia APICTA) 2008 recently.
Presented by Y.B. Datuk Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Science, Technology and
Innovation, on behalf of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Y.A.B Dato’ Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad
Badawi, the MSC Malaysia APICTA is an established landmark event in the ICT calendar to provide a
platform to stimulate creativity, innovation and excellence of ICT in Malaysia.
Currently in its ninth year, the MSC Malaysia APICTA is Malaysia’s most prestigious and reputable
award competition in the ICT sector and was initiated by the MSC Malaysia through close
collaboration with the Government of Malaysia.
The awards, served as a benchmark to ascertain outstanding ICT achievements in the country, are
presented to companies, entrepreneurs and researchers who have been instrumental in the ICT
industry. It is a manner for the government to acknowledge and honour their contributions in pushing
the boundaries of new technology, research and innovation as well as to recognise their potential in
becoming global ICT players.
Having named as “Best of Security” in the MSC Malaysia APICTA, it reaffirms Nexbis and its
solution NexCode the validity of strength, leadership and capabilities of the solution in the forensiclevel
security space. This further endorses the value of NexCode as a total national security solution to
assist Governments and its enforcement agencies in facing the current challenges in global security.
The winning of the award has brought about the nomination as a finalist for the MSC Malaysia
APICTA Prime Minister’s “Best of the Best” award and an opportunity to represent Malaysia in two other international awards - the International ICT Awards to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia next month
and the World Summit Awards (WSA) in Belgium next year.
