What I was eluding was in the absence of insider buying we should be careful in buying SEV shares. I would be very happy if there were multiple directors buying large parcels. This is not the case. Why is this not happening at SEV???? Afterall everyone in HotCopper claims it's a great buy.
With regards to Stokes it is reasonable to assume he has a large cashflow (from Westrac) and other interests. Why doesn't he use this to buy SEV shares?? Sure under the buyback he is increasing his shareholding. But it would be better (for him) if he bought shares from his own money (rather than organise a buyback). Under the creep provisions Stokes can buy 3% of shares every 6months without making a takeover bid (if you own more than 19.9% of the company)
