Where in the hell is sparkler getting 1.5mil customers from?.. LA LA land

Agreed, needs more eplanantion from TS, probably a typo?

Standup: Optus will likely be Engin's naked DSL wholesaler think about it dose Opel ring a bell. Yes Optus was going to rollout Wimax

OPEL is intended to roll out Wireless and DSL for rural australia and will be an expensive service as it is subsidised by the Govt. Not sure if this is intended to cover metro areas? If not then it is not a nationwide service. What does this offer that NextG doesn't?

Poor research PP, seems that this deal has been scrapped, why mention it at all???????

See article here that Phishpheet could not be bothered to include, make others do the hard work

Elders and Optus to build rural and regional broadband network
    18 Jun 2007

The Optus and Elders joint venture, OPEL Networks Pty Ltd (OPEL), has secured $958 million in funding from the Australian Government.

This comprises $600 million from the previously announced Broadband Connect Infrastructure Program and an additional $358 million in funding to further extend high-speed affordable broadband services to rural and regional Australians.

The OPEL network will cover 638,000 square kilometres extending across all States and Territories.
OPEL will deploy 1361 broadband wireless sites and install ADSL2+ in 312 exchanges.

This is the article that states that the OPEL deal has been scrapped, way to go PP

and may still buy Austar's Spectrum so Optus would still wont to be in good terms with Seven, Seven own half of Engin
As for Iinet c'mon your "joking" why would iinet give MNF some of it's business, iinet would take those customers anyway and without a good wholesaler MNF is "dead" repeat DEAD

Geez, that seems a bit harsh. Australia is a small country, there are virtually no situations in telco/broadband that I have seen yet where an ISP limits or firewalls it's service to stop access. This would be both financial suicide & technically a form of censorship.

as i been saying VOiP will go to ISP with cheap BB,VOiP bundles

So YOU say. And as usual not a fact to back it up other than simply your opinion which frankly is becoming a little manic of late.

Do you think that you could be bothered to include copies of articles and Hyperlinks in future to backup your points, I am not here to do your work for you. Also, try doing a little more research next time, what is the point of posting info on the OPEL deal to support your argument when a simple google search reveals that it is not going ahead. Geez Louise.
