Malaysia Gov have set-up a food security policy to insure that the country has adequate food supply, US $1 billion plan to increase food production.

The Federal Government will spend RM.342 billion plan to develop 49 aquaculture industrial zones nationwide, Argriculture and Agro-bases industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed said.

The ministry has targeted a harvest of 662.000 tonnes of aquaculture products valued at RM.6.9 billion in 2010, four times the current production.
