Haven't looked into it woy woy but this is the type of model I would advocate if I was to advocate any. Focus primarily on food/oil production and secondarily on deriving carbon credits from the organic infrastructure you are building as your trees grow.
Personally I am yet to be sold over the long term viability of any carbon credit system simply because I see darker economic times ahead (mostly hyperinflation). I think people will be more worried about food and energy prices and how they can be managed. Carbon credits simply place further inflationary pressure on the cost of energy and any large energy consuming commodity producer (read all of them).
I believe the oil mallee's future lies in the production of biomass for either electricity or cellulosic ethanol production in the future, which is in contradiction to locking carbon away for 100 years.
