Extending the production sharing contract from March to December seems prudent to me as we are in March now.
Did you expect them to extend it only a couple of months?
IMO you are reading these to suit your own agenda or beliefs which will be tainted if that's the case.
I see nothing sinister in any of these statements as we are already in March they had to extend it.
