The big 6 have never played fair in this sector so i don't expect it to start now. They won't sit back and watch as it is such high margin and high volume.
They have many offerings at so many levels and as you would be aware can reconfigure by turning on and off features at various value points.
They just don't have IMO a device that is fashionable and multipurpose that covers the full life of clients
Do they have a value proposition for hearables that they can get to market or will they just " take over" a company that has after they beat it into submission via all regulatory and contractual , tender tools , deep pockets at their disposal?
NHS and equivalents in every country all with different structures have massive budgetary issues and also issues of actually servicing clients and small policy and definition/ classification changes can have massive affects . They also close the door and change the rules if the budget can't afford it with popular treatment etc
