Yeah I know it is Africa and much worse happens etc etc but.... having it done directly and knowledgeably supported by UK company.makes it very hard , expensive at startup for anyone following in their footsteps and you nearly need to fence and secure your whole leases. .
Just shows how hard it is to do business in Africa and even with support of government and military who so often work beyond their legal reach that it can come back to you as in a modern world evidence in pictures is pretty conclusive .

Odd solution to set up bank accounts for victims when you consider the structure over there and I know from a western point of view it is proof that $ have been paid but reality of victims not being conned further by local corrupt bank or intermediaries???

There is further moves in regards to blood ruby's gaining momentum in USA and UK with some media and hollywood stars staying clear of Rubys as they don't want the ethical controversy. Even those wearing old rubys.

SA has been through all this and needs the diamond industry but a developing country has far less control and more modern scrutiny .

Very interesting to see what Fura do and how they do it and how they avoid this style of action. Very hard in Africa where government and local government or local militia are all corrupt at most levels and via Thailand etc stuff gets certified in the murky world of gem processing trading.
