Just FYI....A few of the main reasons why LifX is so good.

Great IP....These are true wireless globes. No hub required as is with Phillips Hue and others.

Apple Homekit chip enabled. So they work seamlessly in Homekit. A great deal of work went into this and its worth having on its own because you can embed Homekit into any of your offerings. They worked on coding this for over a year.

Great App....works flawlessly either at home or away from home. I control my lights from anywhere in the world.

IFTTT enabled as well so you can create routines and also connect to other IOT devices like cameras etc. If my living room camera picks up movement it can turn on the lights in that room without me doing anything and it works very well.
