Maybe we should take a leaf out of some Chines culture regarding family . I was fascinated during my trip to China on how close Chinese families are and it was very common to see four generations living under one roof. The children were brought up by the grand parents and great grand parents so many aspects of their culture, food and medicine were all handed down from generation to generation living under the same roof
Its called a "Generation Ball," concentric spheres carved out of green jade stone representing the number of generations of the carver. These are hand carved balls within the balls. Several jade stone balls within one, represents the various generations of ones family and stands for love and a happy family (The outside ball parents, the next children, and so on). The design on the outside consists of hand carved flowers. Chinese arts and crafts have been known for centuries for their beauty, intricate details and mind-boggling craftsmanship. One of the epitomes of Chinese ornamental design is the Chinese puzzle ball, a sphere that is thought to have a strengthening influence on family unity.
