I'm not sure they could sit on price sensitive news I think they are obligated to report it.
Having said that, I'm not sure what happens if you have a price sensitive thing happening and then you receive news on another price sensitive thing that may affect the first. It wouldn't be fair to those that made an early decision if the news dropped half way thru so maybe they would be made to hold off.
