AVZ are watching their register like a hawk because the resource is massive, highly desirable and the business world is greedy wanting things for nothing acting stealthily if they perceive a target is asleep at the register.
Yes I agree but no even asleep at the wheel just out maneuvered into the position causing the last CR.
They have every right to know who is on their register ...
Yes AVZ has a right to know who it’s shareholders are. The problem can arise that shares held by an o/s nominees who are holding for a nominee who are holding for nominee etc etc it can be impossible to trace to an actual owner. Why because the O/s nominee won’t release the info.
In letting us know straight away they are protecting ours and their interest and I welcome it. There are ASX laws and regulation surrounding acquisition and changes to large stakeholder holdings (Thank Goodness) and I for one welcome the early signal to all that AVZ management (whilst small) are on the ball in this respect and have signalled their intention to keep us all immediately appraised of any changes.
AVZ could be in breach of the privacy act and probably a section of the corps law if it didn’t have instruction/permission to disclose the info in today’s notice. The obligation to disclose is on the shareholder acquiring or disposing not the AVZ. The change notified today dosnt require notification anyway.
We all should watch very closely and publicise findings widely. Lets guard this like the tools in our shed.
AIMHO of course
It’s all about Hauyou and their seat on the board
IMO.
