“carpet, 2. hardly any screaming, 3. "injured" did not make any attempt to escape when gunman returned to car to reload, 4. no police for 17 mins.”
For your own benefit should you ever have the great misfortune to be in the midst of something
1 Sometimes things are noisy sometimes quiet - often it’s ‘very’ noisy but not much screaming (read Pt Arthur reports)
2. injured" did not make any attempt to escape when gunman returned to car to reload, “
Ever heard of fight or flight?
Lots of people just freeze. When you add in loud noise - they often just don’t move (find some videos of air show crashes- watch the crowd)
Many times - when people do move - they move the wrong way-
Don’t expect ‘normal ‘ reactions in situations.
3. “no police for 17 mins.” — this isn’t news
Don’t expect help in a hurry.
Going back to the escape thing - be very very aware - sometimes traps are set- if you are involved in a blast particularly - watch out for another one - act like there will be, because there sure might be - and a lot bigger.
In this case - cars were rigged with explosives - might be worth thinking why.
