<>Solgold*s Alpala, Cascabel, Ecuador.
From the Solgold Mar 2019 presentation on www.solgold.com.au , it was stated that the capex is US$3 billion [US$3.5b earlier stated by JP Morgan in their note]. Solgold has mentioned this is due to the infrastructure cost savings.
Tribeca has said that they wanted Rio to buy Solgold*s Cascabel at US$1.5 billion.
Per the link I posted earlier re: Cobre Panama, the capex was US$6 billion although some other projects cost even more.
So, if one adds US$3 billion + US$1.5 billion = US$4.5 billion, so lots of $$ give for the majors due to the capex advantage?
Comment:
Investors await the Solgold Alpala Preliminary Estimate Resource [PEA] statement to come in Q1, 2019 as per the said presentation.
Newcrest takeover of Red Chris was US$804 billion [copper gold] a day ago [70% stake]. An article grossed it to US$1.2 billion [100% value of project].
Today, Newcrest did a US$65m JV with London-listed Greatland Gold [Havieron, Paterson Province, Western Australian project].
Cornerstone Resources investors in Canada via their forum are wondering who Newcrest will takeover next. From an article I posted, it was said that Newcrest was interested in a few Tier 1*s and a few Tier 2*s.
