Perhaps it's my odd background - but, how is it possible that there are people around in Australia who don't realise that dust ----------- ANY dust - is dangerous if you are exposed to it often. How is it possible that people aren't aware that many dusts are very dangerous even with tiny exposure? particularly stone dusts and dusts off weirdo man made products and many saw dusts

how is it possible that people are unaware of this? Any visit to a hardware store shows shelves stocked with things like face masks, eye glasses, eye goggles, ear plugs --------- do people think they are for stag parties or similar?

I often see blokes and a few women - using machines with no ear protection - why?

Why do they need constant supervision to use products to protect themselves?

OS last year I was really stunned to see that basically no one used any form of safety gear (Vietnam and Thailand) -- ok, fair enough for hearing protection - they just might not know -

but, interestingly enough the entire country wears face masks - due to them thinking the air is dirty -- which, in many cities - it is - but, it's actually clean in many small cities and the rural areas - but, they use these masks by the millions every day.
What really amazed me was to see them using zip eye protection when using angle grinders and the like --- now, how does one do that??

Any time I have spent with an angle grinder gives one showers of crap that enter your eyes if you aren't protected at least a little - if you use 'nothing' - just how long is it before you lose the sight of an eye?

However, we aren't in China or Vietnam or Thailand - we are in Australia -

even in Nanny State Australia - yet, we have these people cutting stuff without masks????????? How odd.
