Read the report of the Lion Air crash, no official report issued for the Ethiopian accident.

Boeing said "follow the checklist" ie recall checklist(from memory). No need to use the cockpit QRH(Quick reference Handbook)

In the Lion Air crash the 2 cutout switches for the stab trim were not activated. If they were there would be no further electric trim to the stab.

Fly manually with manual stab trim.
