Boeing said "follow the checklist" ie recall checklist(from memory). No need to use the cockpit QRH(Quick reference Handbook)
In the Lion Air crash the 2 cutout switches for the stab trim were not activated. If they were there would be no further electric trim to the stab.
Fly manually with manual stab trim.
