I believe there is a difference between having no faith in what management say versus having no faith at all in management.

FAR have one main asset, that asset is world class and being managed by another party and FAR only have a minor voting right in the JV. The only way FAR could stuff that up is by selling the whole 15% stake and then doing a Karoon.

50% of the required finance is even being sorted by the JV so it is difficult for FAR to stuff that up.

The remaining 50% is something that FAR could stuff up but seeing SNE is a world class asset then there will be plenty of money (debt/equity) wanting to get involved in SNE so I cant see FAR stuffing that up.

As Cairn and WPL provide information on SNE, this information can be applied directly to FAR, therby not needing to rely on FAR's statements.

FAR is literally a passive holding company of one main asset, with a few blue sky opportunities up its sleeve (PE, Saloo/Bambo, GB)

I believe it would be quite easy to both hold FAR shares and have no faith at all in FAR management, as no matter how bad FAR management stuff something up, the vast majority of big decisions that will impact the shareprice are out of FAR's hands anyway.

I personally have faith that FAR wont stuff anything up, but I also dont have faith in the information they put out. FAR is just a cheap passive exposure to a world class asset with some blue sky opportunities. Information from Cairn and WPL will have more impact on my investment movements in FAR than information from FAR.
