"after the cotton hads been harvested" ....wow you know what i m pretty sure that has not been tested. I'll tell you what happens ok about april or thereabouts the cotton plant is killed with a defoliant then later it is picked , after that the cotton plants are subsoil cut to separate the plant from the roots then the plants are either slashed with a mulched of ploughed in . This is a contractural requirement because Monsanto owns the rights to the GM factor "roundup ready & insect repellant " . So the grower must do all those plant removal & mulch tasks by a certain date & believe me they send there little spies around to make sure it is done so the grower cannot allow the plant to continue growing another season . All that taken into account the little nanny goats don't get a look in which is sad as they would probably do quite well on it.By the way have you had any experience with cotton or with irrigation?
