I don't know why they insist to find high grade ore in that area. Everybody who involved in vanadium business in that area know that there is no high grade ore (in comparison to TMT's high grade) at Windimurra and in close vicinity to it.

I am very surprised that why a smart billionaire investor like Anthoni Salim and his advisers can't make the right move and save the huge money (over $600m) they they have already invested in Windimurra.

The solution is very simple in my opinion;

Windimurra Plant needs high grade ore to work efficiently,
otherwise it won't work and plant will be shut down again, and
$600m will be wasted
Close projects; Venus Metals, Surefire Resources and Neometals ore aren't different than Windumurra's ore.
The only chance in the close vicinity could be Santa Fe's (SFM) Watsons Well deposit as the high-grade magnetite layer could be overturned and located at the top of low grade layers (Normally high grade layer is always at the bottom).
However SFM does not show any signs of drilling the deposit.
I don't think A Salim would waste his $600m by wrong decisions
His Atlantic should be in negotiations with TMT or/and AVL ... NOW!
Because TMT is at least 6 months ahead of AVL and has less than half MC of AVL, TMT would be the best choice to make a JV.
We don't know if TMT would be happy to make a JV with Atlantic. They might have a better plan.

Otherwise good luck to Windimurra and its owners.

you think if they where considering a takeover now would be the time when shareprice and investor sentiment is all time low..

how do you know this about windmurra? are you involved in the project? how do you know there specific plant would be suitable to TMTs ore?
