If they've hit brine, that is probably the most material information in the history or DMI/GLN. That means people know that its there and insider trading commences.

The Co has done the right thing in putting a halt in place, even if they weren't ready to announce, as now they can take the time needed to get to where they want to be and announce.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was also the updated hole 1 results due. If they were expecting them shortly, then it would be senseless to allow us to trade the first drill results then need a trading halt minutes later, so better just to suspend and get it all out. This point may or may not occur though, but explains it if it does.
