Are transportation costs not a given either way? Whether treated on site or at Sconi it either needs to make it's way to Port or a battery  factory?

Also CS I am aware that this will not be set in stone due to the reasons you have stated. SK will assume ownership of ore at Sconi for the foreseeable future but I am suggesting that maybe this arrangement is purposely being kept flexible to deal with the possibilities that Townsville battery factory offers.

After all the government/battery factory organisation would look a tad silly if they were to fire ahead with their plans neglecting to think about ni/co supply. Having flogged the ore from next door to foreigners they then import from abroad or transport from across Oz? Would make zero sense for the factory really?
