I flew into Srinagar this afternoon and am now in Gulmarg for a ski holiday. (Planned well before the attack 10 days ago)

What was the landing like.... steep descent and ascend by large civilian aircraft.  Typical military flying during my visit.
I didn’t expect too many Indian tourist to go there but the lack of other tourist surprised me, initially.

Our visit was a short time after a group of Israeli tourist were butchered by extremists .... we weren’t aware of it, until the host mentioned it.   

Loved staying on the houseboats!
