That is so dumb, in China the majority of air pollution is from cars with poor emissions standards. Think California in the 1980s.
In India the air pollution is primarily caused by using dung and kerosene to cook and heat inside of homes because they don't have access to cheap electricity.
Secondly, Australian black coal is significantly cleaner than most Indian and Chinese coal. Coal and electrification helps to reduce deaths from air pollution by transferring the combustion of dung and kerosene from the home to a distant power station, allowing Indians to cook with electrical appliances inside the home. These power stations are also allowing the Chinese to electrify their fleet of poor emissions standard vehicles.
Your conclusions fly in the face of facts. Australian coal is helping to improve the living standards of Indians and Chinese by supporting a low cost energy grid and saving lives in the process. If renewables could compete on cost they would employ them, there is no conspiracy to destroy renewables. Coal is simply more economical for poor countries as proven by the massive increase in the electricity price index in Australia since we started building wind turbines and solar panels and now have the most expensive electricity in the world with only 15 percent penetration of renewables.
