ha ha … good one

That day was the most unifying day this country has had, in my lifetime. It was incredible. To beat the Yanks at their own game - and they had never lost it in 126 years!! (and the series was a cliffhanger, just to top things off … we came from behind … 3-1 down, to win the best of seven races)
.... For us, the feeling was up their with Neil Armstrong walking on the Moon, for big events … It's no wonder your mum was ringing that bell - would've seemed very "normal"!
