investors tend to compound the technical trend with the mgt guidance misses - in an uptrend theyd be more forgiving. equally get a good result in an uptrend and they make saints of decidely non holy execs. 

but most of the people providing opinion dont have a clue what to base a view on - a few do and offer valid points - but many are just sp related.

to me rsg was an example of a ceo who is a bit prone to bsing the market & who had an undeserved halo for parachuting into the stock just as gold turned around - which meant his bs was given weight going into the mine reformatting.

good news is the halo is now off and hopefully he learns to underpromise.   tough to change you approach though when you;re still making your way across the tightrope

imo rsg technical team has broadly continued its excellence in repeatedly overcoming challenges - and that plus the ops base and gold endowment are more important to outcomes then the ceo for the most part

lets not also forget that ceo did stellar work in raising substantial capital against the crossover period under cover of the bear rally - and that was very much his contribution.
