I don't completely disagree with M12, but the results from these models could be used for insider trading and that would not be a good thing either.

Better to have the info released AND properly commented to ensure everyone understands it is "conceptual", rather than fact.

Of course, the other thing is that these models can be reasonably accurate too - so, predictably, its up to the public to decide what to do with the info.
