I know the equation A <= A + B  was a bit complicated for you, but what it says isn't that "lancashire shale would generate as many ghg emissions as imported gas from Qatar" (although it may well do of course). It states that Lancashire Shale gas would create additional GHG emissions.

I'll assume this was your inability to understand the idea rather than a deliberate attempt to misrepresent what I said shall I?
