The following commentary is not entirely relevant, but I mention it as a matter of interest. In the early days of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett was trying to convince a friend to buy BKH stock at $15. His friend said he would rather wait until the market showed more confidence by bidding the price up to $18. The stock is priced today at $300,771 per share.
Perhaps my liking for NCK has been unduly influenced by Buffett's philosophy and the story of the illiterate Russian emigrant, Mrs Bumpkin, who founded 'The Nebaskra Furniture Mart' that was bought by Berkshire when Mrs B retired at the age of 100.
