many many moons ago my little jockey mate had jigger on him in the pub on a friday night . The first time I bent over to pick something up from the floor .......... kaaabooom ! I never bent down to pick anything up in that pub again . lol ha ha 

I can tell this story now because my dear friend has passed away.

Many cattlemen and slaughterhouses used jiggers and I would say at times it probably saved lives.
