how can the money Linear spent on building their systems be dead money? It handles the bulk of the assets under admin including all the international SMA's, which it has done for many years now along with the highly successful BT Private Bank platform. I don't think Linear's systems are the problem here.

I agree that the time for 'synergies' have past.  I won't be a buyer until they start signing new customers.
